The council was more then persistent in their pursuits. They disliked the king spending so much time away from court and they disliked the open hostility even if some of them only put fuel on the flames of growing discontent. After one of the king's voyages the council had come to an agreement. Everything had already been decided before Caspian could have it say. The king would have to get married. He was trying to rule two kingdom at once or so the council had said and no single man could do that, therefor he needed a wife. So that he could focus on the vital matters of state while his wife took care of the ceremonial parts.
The Narnian and Telmarine side agreed that they both would send forth a suitable candidate. A young woman born into nobility who they saw fit to become queen. The Narnians send for Rosalie a dryad and the telmarines send forth Esperanza. They were presented at a formal ball and whoever the king chose to be formally betroth with would bring peace for one side of the kingdom. That is, If the king ever chose.
((This plot will start after the 'voyage of king caspian' and when we have some more characters))
